Latest release Unscripted Moments vol IV

The fourth and final chapter of the Unscripted Moments series. A final crescendo that summarizes the album series, delivering a combination of all feelings of the previous releases.

Released February 16th, 2026, the album contains songs that were improvised and recorded live in single takes.

Unscripted Moments vol III

Marvatten's third improvised compilation is the most emotional to date. Released November 24, 2025, it explores themes of hope, struggle, failure, and acceptance.

Attentive listeners may notice the absence of bass guitar in this album. The bass player welcomed his second child during the recording sessions, and since all the pieces were created and captured in the moment, the band chose not to add bass afterward. Staying true to the art felt more important than filling the sonic gap, but fear not—the bass will return in the next and final Unscripted Moments release.

Unscripted Moments vol II

Marvatten’s second compilation album in a planned series of four, released July 21, 2025. This time the songs are slightly shorter, slightly slower and lean more towards melancholy and despair rather than the pure darkness of their debut album.

All songs are fully improvised - unscripted - and recorded live, building falls and crescendos naturally through shared intuition.

Unscripted Moments vol I

Marvatten’s debut album - released June 23rd, 2025 - is the first out in a series of four, containing material recorded live during single take improvisation sessions.

The songs are created in that one particular moment as they progress, unconditionally shifting from one part to another, giving rise to its ebb and flow of sound, where emotions are laid bare and time seems to stand still.
